The first ever Film City established in the Public Sector within the country. Established in the year 1980, it is located at the lush green hill top of Tiruvallam, a serene village hamlet, just seven kilometres away from the Capital city of Kerala. Spreading across 75 acres, this studio complex has nested many films of International and National repute. But for its most modern facilities, it has also earned reputation being a centre par excellence providing the services of extremely talented and qualified technical professionals.
Over the years, by facilitating uncompromised services in Technical side of film production, KSFDC has been extending its services through Kalabhavan Digital Studio at Thiruvananthapuram and Chitranjali Film Studio at Kochi.
At present, KSFDC is engaged in the process of modernizing Chitranjali studio in line with the best studios in the world and very soon it will become a hub of filmmaking attracting producers and film professionals from all over India and neighbouring countries.
