‘Cinema of women directors’ and ‘Cinema of directors belonging to the SC/ST Category’ are two path breaking initiatives of the Government of Kerala. Under this scheme, every year, KSFDC produces two films by women directors and two films by directors belonging to the SC/ST Category.
The two films produced by KSFDC under the cinema of women director’s scheme is making festival rounds in India and abroad. Nishiddho, a film produced under this scheme has won awards in 26th IFFK and 52nd Kerala State Film awards. Right now four films produced under the aforementioned schemes are nearing completion.
KSFDC produces Advertisement films, short films, animation films and documentaries for various organisations and Government departments.
